This role is responsible for enhancing the understanding of our competitors, customers and business environment for Lesaffre China. This person will structure market monitoring with business oriented Newsletters and conduct analyses and market research systems. Based on the data collected through various tools/channels, this person will provide solid analysis and proposals to senior management for strategy and business planning.

Key responsibilities

  1. Proactively monitor business environmental direction and movements through research and intelligence tools, covering competitors, bakery customers, and macro economy, etc.
  2. Aggregate and validate information from different sources to develop monthly newsletter for relevant parties
  3. Value chain monitoring in 7 regions across China to track pricing trend and competitors’ movements
  4. Conducts market research and analytics, statistical analysis, and market intelligence to support strategic, tactical, and operational initiatives for Lesaffre China.
  5. Develops good understanding of the market, existing suppliers, customers and prospective customers in China and identify business opportunities
  6. Closely communicate and support local marketing/ Sales/ Technical teams through collaboration on research and analytics projects
  7. Other projects/tasks assigned by the line manager or the company

Recruitment Conditions

  1. Master’s degree required, preferably from business related disciplines
  2. 1-3 years of working experience, preferably with a multinational company
  3. Experience in market research, marketing, business development, or related discipline is preferred
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Strong communication skills and presentation skills
  6. Strong business acumen
  7. Fluent in both Chinese and English
  8. Has the ability to build and manage multiple projects
  9. Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and cope with change
  10. Client service oriented
